The GUIDING LIGHT Home Communion Training Kit is a practical and pastoral resource designed to support those called to extend the Eucharistic life of the Church into homes, hospitals, and care facilities.
This kit equips Licensed Lay Ministers, deacons, clergy, and other lay leaders to administer Communion from the Reserved Sacrament with reverence and care, in accordance with Bishop’s Policy 1.1.4.
Rooted in the Church’s tradition of radical hospitality and inclusion, this ministry allows those unable to attend worship in person to remain spiritually connected to their parish community. The training includes video teachings, devotional materials, liturgical resources, checklists, and a permission request form, all designed to guide ministers in offering Christ’s presence with grace and compassion. Whether you're exploring this ministry for the first time or seeking to deepen your practice, this training package provides the tools and theological grounding to serve faithfully and sensitively.
