Centralized Payroll
In 1987, the Diocese introduced a centralized payroll service to support parishes. Today, payroll is processed through Ceridian and managed by the Diocese's Payroll and Benefits Administrator, Tammy Cummins.
The centralized payroll service helps parish treasurers by taking care of payroll processing. All clergy serving in parishes and other diocesan ministries must be paid through the diocesan payroll system.
Payments for occasional services, such as Sunday supply, that do not require payroll deductions or employer contributions may be paid directly by the parish.
Parishes can also use the centralized payroll service for other employees, such as organists, sextons, and other lay staff, as long as they are paid on a regular schedule. In some cases, employees hired through government-funded summer employment programs may also be included. Please contact the Payroll and Benefits Administrator to discuss this option.
The Diocese's Payroll and Benefits Administrator manages the payroll based on the information provided by each parish, while Ceridian processes the payroll. Employees are paid by direct deposit on the 15th and the last day of each month. The Diocese also prepares annual T4 slips
