PRESENTERS:   Pathways to Peace RETREAT 2026

The main talks are being presented by four gifted and inspiring faith leaders. 

The Right Reverend Sandra Fyfe

Bishop Sandra is the 17th diocesan bishop of the Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, having been elected and consecrated to that role in 2020. Before that, she served as rector of the Parish of Horton (Wolfville NS). She is a gifted retreat leader and has led a variety of retreats across the Atlantic provinces.

 

Ken MacIntosh

Ken was brought up a member of the United Church and attended St. Andrew's UC on Robie Street in Halifax as a youngster. As an adult, he lived in New Brunswick for thirty years where he worked in a variety of jobs, as a lab technician, teacher, cargo inspector, wildlife technician, and environmental monitoring technician. In his fifties, he chose a different path. After studying at Atlantic School of Theology, he married an Anglican Priest, and became a church technician. He spent four years in Cape Breton, and now resides in Berwick, in the beautiful Annapolis Valley. He looks forward to being ordained as a Deacon in the near future.

 

The Rev'd. Cathy Pharo

Cathy is a retired parish priest who enjoys leading worship, being with grandchildren, family and friends. She is a former Mental Health Nurse in a Community Clinic, likes to ask questions and finds humour in events of life.   Cathy lives in Summerside PEI with her husband Chris.

 

Robert Paddock

Rob is a postulant, currently completing his studies, discerning a call as a priest in our Diocese. He ministers at Emmanuel Church Spryfield, Halifax, NS. Rob also works for the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources, as a Manager Acquisitions and Disposals, Land Services Branch. Among his many gifts, he is a gifted church musician.

 

Saturday Evening's Service of Healing & Wholeness is being led by:

The Rev'd. Carl Fraser

Carl is the Diocesan Vocations Coordinator, working with those who are discerning particular calls to ministry. He has been a parish priest for many years including the Parish of Fall River with Oakfield, St. John the Baptist, North Sydney, and others. He has extraordinatry gifts in presiding at liturgies that are sacred, holy and tranformative.
