A Region is a group of parishes that work together for communication, support, and consultation. Each Region is guided by a Regional Council, a Regional Dean, and an Archdeacon. The Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island has 10 Regions.
Overseeing administration for that part of the Diocese (including finance and property)
Lay delegates are elected at each Parish’s annual meeting and also serve on the Regional Council.
In Prince Edward Island, the Diocesan Church Society serves as the Regional Council for Region 1, representing all PEI parishes.
