READ, LEARN & SHARE in SEASONAL BOOK CLUBS

We are exploring two timely, popular books in our Zoom discussions this spring/summer. Each series runs 4 weeks, on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

  • How to Lead When You Don’t Know Where You’re Going: Leading in a Liminal Season, by Susan Beaumont - June 9, 16, 23 and 30. (Kindle $24.60;  Paperback $38.00) Facilitated by Rev. Debbie Fice.
  • The Post-Quarantine Church: Six Urgent Challenges + Opportunities, by Thom RainerJuly 7, 14, 21 and 28. ($17.32 hardcover; $12.79 Kindle)

Anyone may join in! This is a great opportunity for individuals, and especially teams from parishes. The pace is leisurely and relaxed. Each week we discuss two chapters.

“How do you lead an organization stuck between an ending and a new beginning - when the old way of doing things no longer works but a way forward is not yet clear? I call such in-between times liminal seasons - threshold times when the continuity of tradition disintegrates and uncertainty about the future fuels doubt and chaos. In a liminal season, it simply is not helpful to pretend we understand what needs to happen next. But leaders can still lead.”                                 – Susan Beaumont, How to Lead...
