Rector, Full-time, for the Parish of St. James Anglican Parish, Mahone Bay

St. James Anglican Parish, Mahone Bay is seeking a full-time incumbent for St. James Anglican Church, one of the iconic three churches, facing the waters of beautiful Mahone Bay as well as the heritage Christ Church, atop a hill in rural community of Maitland. Mahone Bay is a small, vibrant town where young entrepreneurs mix with many retired folk. Residents enjoy kayaking, sailing and hiking in the surround areas. The Mahone Bay Centre offers yoga, fitness, art classes, lectures and many other activities. Our local schools are excellent and extensive medical care is available at the South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater. We are only one hour away from all amenities of Halifax.


We are a diverse congregation that both cherishes tradition and embraces new ideas. We offer a stipend, a travel allowance, and a provision of a comfortable, three bedroom Rectory next door to St. James Anglican Church.

Has a deep faith and commitment to the teachings of Jesus Christ

Is a good preachers, teacher and has strong mangement and leadership skills
Can find meanginful ways to reach out to those who have a norminal connection to the Parish and to make our presence more visible within the local communities.
