Anglicans Powering Potential highlight World Day of Social Justice on February 20, noting that it is closely aligned to the 4th Mark of Mission for the Anglican Church, whereby we seek to transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and to pursue peace and reconciliation.

World Day of Social Justice is an international day recognizing the need to promote social justice, which includes efforts to tackle issues such as poverty, exclusion, gender inequality, unemployment, human rights, and social protections. It was at the United Nations General Assembly, in November 2007, its sixty-second session, that February 20 was proclaimed as World Day of Social Justice. The day was observed for the first time in 2009.
