The Synod Arrangements Committee continues to plan for our time together in October. Registration will go LIVE very soon and all delegates, observers and co-opted members will be receiving an email within the next few days with the link to complete the online form.
The 151st session of Synod will be held Friday, October 14th to Sunday, October 16th, at Dalhousie University, 6136 University Ave., Halifax, NS. A fee of $30 will be charged to all delegates to help offset the cost of meals and other refreshments provided at Synod. Attendees are also responsible for arranging their own accommodations. Due to the presence of students at Dalhousie in October, on-site residence accommodations are not available this year.
This is the first increase in Synod fees in many years and intended only to help meet a percentage of costs. Please note, however, that the cost for delegates to attend Synod should not constitute a barrier to participation. If you or your parish is unable to fully fund the $30 registration fee and/or the cost of accommodation for delegates, please contact info.finance@nspeidiocese.ca to request financial assistance.
