The Chapel Choir of the University of King’s College performs a special concert – Sing Choirs of Angels (A King’s Christmas) – that includes carols and anthems for the Advent and Christmas season. Under the direction of Neil Cockburn, the choir will sing traditional congregational favourites, including “O Come all Ye Faithful,” interspersed with more recent compositions. New to the choir are two works by the Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo: “Ave Generosa” and “A Spotless Rose.” These unaccompanied pieces highlight the choral voices in warm, sonorous textures of up to eight parts and are sure to leave a lasting impression on all who attend.

Tickets will soon be available in advance ($15 to $50 plus fees) from www.tickethalifax.com and available at the door ($20 to $55 plus fees) with cash or card.
