We are so glad you’re considering joining us! Whether you are a regular churchgoer or haven’t stepped inside a church in years, we want your first experience at The Apostles to be comfortable, meaningful, and welcoming.

  • Sunday Services: 10:30 AM
  • Location: 6670 Bayers Road, Halifax, NS
  • Parking: A limited number of parking spaces are available in the church parking lot (accessible from Bayers Road). There is also plenty of on-street parking on George Dauphinee Avenue, just steps from our front door.

What to Expect

We want you to feel right at home. Here is what a typical Sunday morning looks like:

  • Arrival: Greeters will be at the front doors to welcome you and answer any questions you may have.
  • The Service: Our gatherings last about 75 minutes. Sunday services are usually celebrations of the Holy Eucharist. The form of service alternates between the classic, traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer and the newer Book of Alternative Services. All baptised Christians who would normally receive in their home churches are welcome to receive at our altar.
  • Dress Code: Please come as you are. You will see everything from jeans and t-shirts to business casual attire.
  • Livestream: We broadcast our services on Facebook Live, and later upload them to YouTube. The camera is prominently visible toward the front of the nave. Please be aware that you may be visible (from behind) while you come forward for communion. 

For Families:

We prioritize providing a safe and engaging environment for your children so you can worship with peace of mind.

  • Children's Area: Kid-sized tables and chairs with colouring and activity sheets are available at the back of the church at all services.
  • Sunday School: From September through May, a variety of fun, age-appropriate lessons help children learn about faith in a way they can understand.

Not at all! Everyone is welcome to attend, participate, and explore faith with us, regardless of where you are on your spiritual journey.

We love guests, but we promise not to embarrass you. We won't ask you to stand up or point yourself out. We're happy to meet you, though: please introduce yourself at the door on your way out, if you're comfortable doing so.

Yes, our building is accessible. Ramps are located at the Bayers Road and George Dauphinee Avenue entrances, and there is an accessible washroom conveniently located on the main level. For access to the gym and parish hall, a lift is also available.
