The Reverend Judi Philips has been appointed Priest-in-Charge of the Parish of North Sydney effective February 1st, 2021. She will continue as Priest-in-Charge of the Parish of New Germany until February 15th.

Diocesan Heating Oil Program

The Diocese of NS and PEI Heating Oil Program with Irving Oil offers Churches of the Diocese and eligible Diocesan Clergy and Diocesan Staff a discounted rate based on non-profit status. This rate is not offered to individual Anglican parishioners.

CHARITABLE TAX RECEIPT TIPS

It's that time of year... tax time! Deepen relationships with your donors by saying 'thanks' in a warm, effective way. Parishes are preparing to distribute charitable receipts, why not include one or two extras in the envelope to share with your givers how they are helping your congregation make a difference?

We've had a few emails at the Diocesan Office about upcoming Annual General Meetings and how they might take place in light of the pandemic. We are in the process of clarifying gathering limits and other restrictions for meetings with the Department of Health in both Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island to make sure that we are providing accurate information. Watch for more details soon.

Resources for World Interfaith Harmony Week (February 1-7) are now available on anglican.ca, in an ecumenical letter from the Primate, National Indigenous Anglican Archbishop and National Bishop Susan Johnson from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.

On Monday, January 25^th at 12:15pm (the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul), you are welcome to gather in-person or online for an ecumenical service celebrating the new ministry of Archbishop Brian J. Dunn, Archbishop of Halifax-Yarmouth, and commemorating The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. The service will be held at St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica and is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. An early arrival is recommended as registration at the door is required. Parking is available in the lot beside (but not behind) the Basilica with entry from Grafton Street. You may also participate online via the website for the Archdiocese: www.halifaxyarmouth.org

St. Mary's Anglican Church, Belleisle (part of the Parish of Bridgetown NS) is seeking a Revised Common Lectionary Gospel Book (altar sized).  If there is a Parish or Church that has one which is not in use and would be willing to give it to St. Mary's, we would be most grateful to receive it.  We can tell you that our little Church will make regular weekly use of it.  Please contact our Rector, The Rev.
