Welcome! Bishop Sandra has accepted the resignation of The Reverend Benjamin von Bredow as Rector of the Parish of Shelburne effective August 18th, 2025. At this time Fr. Benjamin will begin a new job in Halifax. He will also leave Anglican ministry and relinquish his orders as an Anglican priest in order for his family to join the Orthodox Church. We pray for Fr. Benjamin, his wife Katy, their daughters, Theodora and Cecilia, and the wider parish family as they prepare for this transition in their lives and ministry. Pride ParadeSaturday, July 19, Halifax Please join the Proud Anglicans team at this year’s Halifax Pride Parade – Saturday July 19! The parade route can be found here (https://waterfrontmediahfx.the902hxir.ca/70291-2), and the parade begins at 12:00 noon. We will gather at the Citadel Community Center/High School grounds, entering at the checkpoint on Trollop Street by 11:00am, July 19th, when the street closures begin. There is no parking at the gathering grounds. We will communicate the float number via as many sources as possible (email, Facebook, word of mouth, etc.). The Diocesan Times continues to publish a paper edition which is mailed to subscribers monthly from September to June. There is also a PDF version available online for those who prefer to read electronically. We are now introducing a newsletter that will feature some of the stories in the latest edition of The Diocesan Times that will be emailed out via the Anglican Netnews list. Anglicans Powering Potential is partnering with the YWCA in support of its Nova Scotia Transition and Advocacy Youth (NSTAY) program that offers a range of supports for youth who are, or have been, exploited or trafficked, to help them in exiting unsafe situations, healing from trauma, and planning for the future.

Diocesan Youth Camp 2025
Tune In With Yourself, With One Another, and With God For this year's Diocesan Youth Camp (DYC), we are headed off to Big Cove Camp in Sutherlands River, Nova Scotia, for a weekend full of climbing high and low ropes, exploring our creativity, talking about prayer, worshipping together, and having lots of fun!
