The Anglican Foundation of Canada (AFC) is inviting Anglicans across Canada to establish or expand community ministry partnerships in this year’s Request for Proposals (RFP). Having funded hundreds of community ministry projects across Canada, AFC knows what it takes to build successful partnerships in priority impact areas, such as food security, social justice, leadership and education, arts enrichment, and more. Through grant reports and testimonials, applicants are sharing with AFC their positive experiences working with a variety of partners, including other churches and faith groups, not-for-profit organizations, schools and community educators, and small businesses.

Due to a recent cancellation, Church of the Nativity in Sandy Cove is seeking a priest in good standing to lead worship on the following Sundays:

We require the celebration of BAS Eucharist at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday. In exchange, accommodation will be provided at our Rectory at no cost. Sandy Cove is a beautiful and peaceful seaside community, offering many opportunities for rest and exploration between services.

Education for Ministry (EfM) is a four-year program for laypeople exploring Scripture, theology, and church history in small groups with trained mentors—now offered in a newly revised format, EfM: Classic. A new one-year option, EfM Wide Angle, offers a taste of all four years and can be joined in various formats, including online.

A SURVEY SEEKING SPIRITUAL DIRECTORS/COMPANIONS has been prepared and can be accessed below. I ask for your assistance: fill it out for yourself, if you are currently serving or are open to serve as a Spiritual Director; as well as sharing it with others you know in the community who are ministering in this capacity.
We will be looking to know such details as availability (day/evenings/weekends); in-person/online/telephone; willingness to take new directees; and, interest in becoming part of a group for further training opportunities.

Tune In With Yourself, With One Another, and With God

For this year's Diocesan Youth Camp (DYC), we are headed off to Big Cove Camp in Sutherlands River, Nova Scotia, for a weekend full of climbing high and low ropes, exploring our creativity, talking about prayer, worshipping together, and having lots of fun!

DYC is for youth in grades 7 to 12, and while we are still figuring out the fine details, registration is open now!

The Anglican Church of the Holy Spirit in Dartmouth is accepting applications for the position of Organist / Pianist. This is a part-time position starting in August. The successful applicant will be required to provide professional musical services on organ and/or piano during the 10 a.m. Sunday service as well as special services (e.g. Christmas, weddings, and funerals) throughout the year. Are you wondering how God might be inviting you to serve? Join us for a shared weekend of prayer, conversation, and community as we explore the many paths of our Christian vocation.

Over the course of the weekend, we’ll hear from our bishops, clergy, and lay leaders about the diverse ways people live out their callings — in lay ministry, religious orders, the diaconate, and priesthood. You’ll hear real stories of discernment, have time to reflect, ask the big questions and pray together.

The cost is $50/person. Preregistration is required, and spaces are limited. Hosted at Villa Madonna Retreat Centre, meals and accommodation included.
