A practical workshop exploring the ACORN spiritual discipline—a simple daily rhythm developed by Michael Harvey to help congregations connect with those outside the church. Designed for laity and clergy, this session unpacks how a simple daily prayer and few subsequent steps can help shift parish culture toward gentle, organic missional connections with new people.
When: Tuesday, October 13 – 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Where: T.B.A (in the Halifax, NS area)
Cost: None, but registration is required.

We are delighted to welcome UK church strategist and ACORN co-founder Michael Harvey to our Diocese for a special leadership gathering. (He was the founder of the Back-to-Church Sunday initiative.) While visiting friends in Nova Scotia, Michael very generously offered his time to share his expertise with us.
While this visit came together on short notice and is being hosted in the Halifax area, we are thrilled to take advantage of his presence. For those unable to attend in person, we plan to video record the session so no one misses out. (To request the video recording, register through the Survey Monkey link above.)

SAVE THE DATE INVITATION:
Many churches today feel as though they are simply trying to survive—managing declining resources, ageing congregations, and an increasingly complex world. Even for missioners and church planters working in these challenging contexts, the reality is demanding. But the gospel has never called us merely to survive. It calls us to be faithful disciples, attentive to where the Holy Spirit is already at work, and courageous enough to join in God's mission with imagination and hope.
Now in its third year, this online conference builds directly upon the conversations and themes of 2025 and 2026, offering a space to deepen our collective missional work and to discern God’s dream for the future.
Join us on Zoom for practical teaching and sharing of inspiring real-life stories of missional communities. Watch for updates on our dynamic speaker line-up, panel discussions and more!
