Earthquake Relief for HaitiPWRDF is accepting donations to respond to the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that rocked the Caribbean nation of Haiti on Saturday morning. Early counts report more than 200 people have died. The epicentre of the quake was about 150 km west of Port-au-Prince, along the same fault lines as the earthquake of 2010 which killed 220,000 people. PWRDF has supported several different development partners in Haiti over the years, including Partners In Health Haiti, and humanitarian relief responses after the 2010 earthquake and Hurricane Matthew in 2016. A current partner on the ground is Rayjon Share Care Haiti. “We have been able to contact most of our partners in Haiti, and are happy to report that they are safe,” says Executive Director Heather Smith. “The damage seems to be far away from all current Rayjon-supported initiatives and partner communities. But this will be another hard time for Haiti, in the midst of already steep challenges.” PWRDF will continue to monitor the situation and stay in contact with our partners to determine the best way to support emergency relief. Please keep the people of Haiti in your prayers. Donations can be made online and designated to our Emergency Response, then indicate Haiti Earthquake in the notes section. You may also call Donor Relations Officer Mike Ziemerink during business hours at 416-822-9083, leave a voicemail toll free at 1-866-308-7973 or send a cheque with a memo “Haiti Earthquake” to 80 Hayden St. Toronto, Ontario, M4Y 3G2. For media requests please contact Communications Coordinator Janice Biehn at (416) 924-9199;366. For more infomation visit: https://pwrdf.org/pwrdf-accepting-donations-for-haiti-earthquake-relief/

Insurance Renewal Invoices March 2021-2022 Renewal Policy.
Requesting that Parish Treasurers /Administrators take a quick look at the above douments to make sure that the $95 (Directors and Officers Liability Premium) is included with Parish payments back to the Diocese. This amount is included on the renewal Invoice//but is not part of the Schedule of Insured locations-probably why it is being missed in a lot of cases. Your assistance is very much appreciated. Canadian Church Calendar 2022
The Anglican Church Women Diocesan Board will be ordering the Canadian Church Calendar 2022 for distribution to the parishes. However, there is also the option for parishes to order directly from the Anglican Church of Canada (ACC) e-store www.anglican.ca/calendar. We ask that parishes using that option (of ordering directly from ACC for the 2022 calendar), that have been ordering calendars from the Board in the past, e-mail the Board regarding that decision to make the switch (acw.nsboard@gmail.com) by July 31, 2021. The Board needs to have a clearer sense of the number of calendars to order. Thank you. For more infomation visit: http://nspeidiocese.ca/events/canadian-church-calendar-2022/2021-06-29
