Covid 19 Wage Subsidy ReportingCLERGY, TREASURERS, WARDENS!! We are working diligently to catch up with the reporting/filing of Wage Subsidy claims to CRA-which in turn get rebated back to participating Parishes. WE ARE NOW STALLED –TOO MANY OF OUR PARISHES HAVE NOT REPORTED FOR THE JANUARY-MAY 2021 PERIOD. In order to continue to receive subsidy credits for individuals on your Parish payroll-you are requested to continue to file monthly Income reports-on the form previously sent by Glen Greencorn. It is unclear at this point exactly when CRA will discontinue the subsidy-so please keep sending the monthly reports to Patrick Pearse (ppearse@nspeidiocese.ca) until further notice. Several Parishes have not completely filed reports for 2020-please review, and if this is the case-please send in. Peter Flemming, CPA Interim Controller For more infomation visit: |

SIX-MINUTE STUDY #257WEIGHTY WORDS Our words are precious. They are powerful. They can help us feel encouraged or drive us to gloom. As Christ-followers, our language reflects what we value, our genuine hopes, and how we cherish one another in relationship. Now, when pandemic restrictions are easing and we move into fresh ways of relating and gathering, we can be attentive to how we communicate in this new season. Read more about this in, The Language We Use Matters, an article written by Laura Stephens-Reed, Clergy Coach & Congregational Consultant.

Education for Ministry is Recruiting for the Fall
Education for Ministry is a program designed for laity to provide theological study and reflection rooted in the Scriptures and traditions of the Church. Participants meet once a week for 1.5 to 2 hours. Reading the textbook, the Bible and other works, doing the assignments etc. will take more time on your own. What each student takes away from EfM depends on how much time and energy are devoted to the course. Each year of the four year course is 36 weeks long and can start in either September of January. In either case, there are no classes over the summer, and we take a break for Christmas. More information can be found here: www.efmcanada.ca/onlinecourse.html or for information on EfM in our diocese: http://djharrison.ca/html%20pages/EfM.html You may also contact David Harrison (djh@djharrison.ca or 902-923-2902) he is the Diocesan EfM Coordinator and an EfM Online mentor. Supporting Parents: Stories that Matter
The Anglican Church Women Diocesan Board thanks all contributors for its soon-to-be-wrapped-up Annual Project, Supporting Parents: Stories That Matter (June 30/21). But it’s not too late to donate, if you haven’t already! Contributing to Supporting Parents: Stories That Matter is a small but significant step in responding to the Call to Action of the Truth & Reconciliation Commission regarding culturally relevant parenting support. The importance of such support is magnified with the devastating discovery of the burial site of 215 children who did not survive the Kamloops Residential School. Donating to Supporting Parents: Stories That Matter is a way to honour these children and National Indigenous Month - June. Cheques for Supporting Parents: Stories That Matter are payable to the Anglican Church Women Board, Annual Project in the memo line, and mailed to Marjorie Davis, 204 - 111 Pebblecreek Drive, Dartmouth, NS B2W 0L1.
