There is increasing media coverage about the misuse of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). APP presented the resolution about NDA misuse at Synod 2025 that was unanimously passed. The quest to have legislation (already a reality in PEI!) that prevents NDAs from being used in cases of mistreatment, harassment, bullying, sexual misconduct and other civil rights violations is led by Dr. Julie Macfarlane of Can't Buy My Silence. There is also increasing media coverage about the hidden-in-plain-sight modern slavery reality of human trafficking, a significant challenge in Nova Scotia.
