Anglican Church of Canada General Synod delegates are meeting in London, ON, June 23 - 29. We offer prayers for the success of the General Synod, with its theme: They will soar on wings like eagles (Isaiah 40:31)encompassing a sense of hope, strength, and renewal.

We can take pride in the leadership of our Diocese regarding the unanimous approval of the Faith Pledge Resolution (re: the misuse of NDAs) at its recent Diocesan Synod: Based on the wording and success of that Resolution, our Diocesan Bishop Sandra has been asked to Second the misuse of NDAs Resolution at General Synod.

The Can't Buy My Silence co-founder, Dr. Julie Macfarlane, notes that the Resolution will be presented/moved by the Rev. Dr. Canon Jeffrey Metcalfe of the Diocese of Quebec, the author of the excellent column in the June 2025 issue of the Anglican Journal about the misuse of NDAs and the church's needed role in no longer using them for anything other than their initial purpose: "Buying silence is a social sin the church cannot afford: NDAs compromise our Christian witness in the aftermath of misconduct. It's time to end them" (page 4):
