1 in 3 women worldwide have experienced domestic or sexual abuse.

Every 6 days in Canada, a women is killed by her partner or spouse.

Cases of domestic violence have increased during the pandemic.

 What can you do?  You can help to shed light on the issue of domestic violence. You can show your support for people suffering in silence. You can join us in a Gender Based Violence Awareness Walk.

Please join us in a walk to Paula’s Purple Bench on the Rails to Trails.

Where: Train Station Bike and Bean 5401 St. Margaret’s Bay Road, Upper Tantallon NS

The walk is about 1 km to the west and ends at the beginning of Mill Lake.

Time: 12:30 pm

At 1:00 pm we will have prayers followed by 3 minutes of silence at the bench.

If walking is an issue, you may drive up the new Bowater Mersey Road and stop near the bench.
