CEWS News

Folks, thank you for continuing to record and send your parish’s monthly income for calculating wage subsidies.  Subsidies for organizations hard hit by the pandemic will continue at least through April 2022.  I expect the Diocese will continue to qualify, so please continue to send information to my attention at financialcontroller@nspeidiocese.ca.  For ease of processing revenue information, please use the attached form and return to me via email, and please title your email “CEWS.”  I drew-down subsidies from Canada Revenue this month.  Please expect to see them applied to January 2022 remittance advices in February 2022.

Thanks much for your help, Chris.

Women’s Ministry Sunday

Women’s Ministry Sunday

Sunday, March 6, 2022

Women’s Ministry Sunday was initiated by the Anglican Church Women Board to recognize and promote the many ways that women live out God’s mission in the church and community. It has evolved from: honouring the women and the ministry of their organized groups within the parish, to recognizing their ministry beyond the parish, including within their professional and community volunteer activities, to their collaboration with men where they work together for a common purpose, achieving a shared goal. To quote the Anglican Church Women hymn: The Love of Jesus Calls Us
# 434 Common Praise verse 4…..

The love of Jesus calls us in swiftly changing days,
to be God's co-creators in new and wondrous ways;
that God with men and women may so transform the earth,
that love and peace and justice may give God's kingdom birth.

The Diocesan Environment Network (DEN)

DEN 10th Anniversary

DEN 10th Anniversary

WOW! Did we ever have a great gathering online last Thursday of passionate people sharing their ideas and dreams of where we go from here.

With great thanks, Louisa Horne led us in a fast paced, spirited discussion on Strategic Doing beginning with the statement “DEN has become known as the most irresistible, missional environment network in the country”. That was the first part of our “Strategic Doing” followed by an awesome sharing of ideas on what that might look like and and what we did to make that happen. In other words, WHAT COULD WE DO. The next step is WHAT SHOULD WE DO. Stay tuned for more ways to be inspired by this dream and to become involved in the next step.

Want to share your ideas before that next gathering? Please send them!!!

Welcome to our weekly Enews. The Diocesan Environment Network (DEN) of the Anglican Diocese of NS & PEI, was formed in response to the Fifth Mark of Mission and the latest addition to our Baptismal Covenant which has become our Mission Statement.

“To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth.”

To do this we educate and encourage stewardship through social media and liturgies, connect with other environment groups, pray together, celebrate art with each other and grieve together.
