HOLY WEEK INVITATION REMINDER!
Holy Week and Easter offer a sacred and hope‑filled opportunity to welcome new people into the life of your faith community. Many already have a connection to your parish, others are searching, and some are simply spiritually curious. A gentle, thoughtful invitation can make all the difference. Reach out—especially to newcomers! A personal invitation is the most effective method. Let people know they are welcome, expected, and included. Spread the word widely. Use every channel available to you:
Include the essentials. Make sure every announcement clearly states:
(Never assume people already know where you are or how to find you.) Make giving easy. Share information about how to donate to your ministry.
Your invitation not only welcomes people into the powerful story of Holy Week, and to encounter loving faith community, but also helps them support the ministries that make a real difference to their neighbours. Diocesan Annual Clergy RetreatExploring Spiritual Friendship - Monday, June 8, 2026 REGISTRATION is OPEN for our Annual Clergy Retreat: June 8th to June 12th at Our Lady of Hope Retreat Centre, Stanley Bridge, PEI, as we ponder God's gift of friendship and its many dimensions with the Rev. Dr. Dawna Wall. Dorothy Day courageously stated that we all know the long loneliness. Living into our vocations means we are often holding a lot, and don't always have a safe place to put things down, or those whom we can examine the dimensions of the burdens. Others have been here before us, and through their stories offer us encouragement, tears of lament, laughter and understanding. Francis and Claire, David Jonathan, Ruth and Naomi, Aelred and Ivo...to name just a few of those who compass us about, with spiritual friendship. Tammy Hodge Orovec at: rev.tammyhodge@gmail.com For more infomation visit: http://nspeidiocese.ca/events/diocesan-annual-clergy-retreat/2026-06-08

Anglican Foundation of Canada
It is not too late . . . There is still time to register a project for the Say Yes! to Kids 2026 campaign - deadline for the SYTK 2026 registration is Wed. April 1, and that is not an April Fool's trick. However, there is magic when a parish raises funds for a Say Yes! to Kids project. Don't miss out on that great opportunity: https://www.anglicanfoundation.org/sytk2026opens/ If you feel the need to speak more directly to someone about possibilities (do not let the lack of young people in your parish be a deterrant - there are lots of options), you can contact the following: Allie Colp, Diocesan Youth and Family Ministry Coordinator (youthandfamily@nspeidiocese.ca) Cynthia Pilichos, Diocesan Anglican Foundation Representative (cjp2320@gmail.com); or Michelle Hauser, AFC's Development & Communication Officer mhauser@anglicanfoundation.org). Lenten Quiet Day at the CathedralSaturday, March 28, 2026 Join the Rev. Frances Drolet-Smith and Heather Carter for a day of reflection, prayer and meditation focusing on the task of making peace. Despite evidence to the contrary, transforming the world is not an impossible task! Fundamental to our lives as Christians living in an often troubled world, is the understanding that hope is a choice. God calls us to the task of making peace and enables us to offer peace to others. A viable, practical way to cultivate peace around us is to deepen our inner life. Walk the indoor labyrinth. Express your desire for peace in a visual art activity. Be still. Knit, if you wish - just be. Pray for peace in a world so in need. For more infomation visit: http://nspeidiocese.ca/events/lenten-quiet-day-at-the-cathedral/2026-03-28

Andrew Killawee presents: 'The Old Way Home'Trinity Church - Saturday, March 28, 2026 Andrew Killawee has enjoyed a rewarding career working as a music director in the Anglican tradition for more than 25 years. Now he’s embarking on a parallel, and deeply personal project: a return to the church music of his childhood - specifically the Baptist hymnals that first shaped his understanding of spiritual and communal music-making. By delving into these sacred pages, Andrew will attempt to reimagine melodies and harmonies that have largely been forgotten, through a contemporary lens influenced by his own 30 years of experience working in multiple genres of music. For Andrew, this is the music of family gatherings, summer camps, and mid-week hymn sings – sounds that inspired community and faith for his family, friends, and the wider community around him.
