Let’s send Indigenous youth to CLAY 2023
The Anglican Church Women Diocesan Board is branching out with our first-ever Peer-to-Peer (P2P) fundraiser (under the umbrella of the Anglican Foundation’s Say Yes! to Kids 2022 – Growing a brighter future, today) to bring Indigenous youth to CLAY 2023. It is one way we are living our 2022/23 theme of New and Wondrous Ways! The Board’s Annual Project for 2022/23, All In For Youth! will be “jump-started” by having the Board partner with Canadian Lutheran Anglican Youth (CLAY) to help the August 2023 gathering be a much more inclusive event, with greatly increased participation from Indigenous youth across Canada. High costs of sending Indigenous youth have prevented their attendance and participation in the past. We have the power to change this by supporting a group of Indigenous youth to attend, and then enjoy and reflect on the CLAY experience together. Through our fundraising efforts we will send a clear message to the youngest members of our Indigenous church that their lives are important, that they matter, and that they are loved by their Anglican community. With God’s grace and your generosity, we can do this. Please give to this year’s Say Yes! to Kids campaign through our All In For Youth! Project. Contributions of whatever size are welcome: https://www.canadahelps.org/s/nbuFQD If you are more comfortable contributing via cheque, please make it payable to the Anglican Foundation, with All In For Youth in the memo line, addressed to the Anglican Foundation of Canada, 80 Hayden Street, Toronto, ON M4Y 3G2. Thank you!

Education for Ministry
Education for Ministry (EfM) is a program of theological education by extension for lay people. There are four years of study, but participants commit for one year at a time, meeting in small groups with a trained mentor. The program combines academic study with integrative components to help participants take what they learn about Scripture, church history, theology and ethics into their own lives and hearts, supporting them in living out a vibrant baptismal ministry in the church and in the world. EfM is also available for those who are unable to attend local classes. It is offered online using Zoom. If you are interested in joining an EfM group or wish to learn more about EfM please contact David Harrison, the Diocesan EfM Coordinator, via email (djh@djharrison.ca) Dave can put you in contact with a local mentor or provide you information.
