A note to all active Clergy: Please Save the Date!Tuesday, June 21 OR Thursday, June 23 (a day-long workshop at the Cathedral Church of All Saints, Halifax) Self-selecting one of two separate days in June, all active Diocesan clergy are encouraged to participate in a workshop entitled Listening with the Ear of the Heart*. Led by Jordan Roberts, the Sexual Health and Safety Officer at University of King's College, the day will be a time of listening and learning, reflecting and engaging with case studies as we hone the skills of something with which many of us are already engaged: trauma-informed listening. Much more information will be available early next week in a spring Clergy Communiqué. (* this phrase is borrowed from the opening words of the Rule of St. Benedict) For more infomation visit: http://nspeidiocese.ca/news/a-note-to-all-active-clergy-please-save-the-date |

Funding Opportunity for your Parish!
May 31 is the deadline for applications to the Growth For Ministry Fund. This fund exists to offer money for development or expansion of ministries, experimental or new ministry, projects that foster engagement with the wider community and the gospel, outreach ministry or initiatives which might not otherwise be pursued. These are broad categories, and a lot of interesting ideas from parishes, regions and VSSTs can (and have) been approved for funding. Projects of any size are eligible to apply for funding, and it is especially important to note that there is no project that is too small to apply. For more information, and to find the application form go to https://www.nspeidiocese.ca/pages/administration-policies and look for Policy 2.2.9. SPRING & SUMMER BOOK CLUBJoin with friends and deep dive discussions on all things related to mission-shaped ministry! JUNE 9 - SPRING & SUMMER BOOK CLUB Registrations are rolling in for our book study, featuring a text about adaptive leadership. Hosted on Zoom, participants explore Susan Beaumont’s book, “How to Lead When You Don’t Know Where You’re Going: Leading in a Liminal Season.” “How do you lead an organization stuck between an ending and a new beginning - when the old way of doing things no longer works but a way forward is not yet clear? I call such in-between times liminal seasons - threshold times when the continuity of tradition disintegrates and uncertainty about the future fuels doubt and chaos. In a liminal season, it simply is not helpful to pretend we understand what needs to happen next. But leaders can still lead.” – Susan Beaumont This book study runs Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. over 4 weeks, starting June 9 (June 9, 16, 23 and 30). Facilitated by Ordinand Debbie Fice, this is a relaxed small group discussion. Anyone may join in! Each week we discuss one or two chapters. Purchase of book is required. Kindle $24.60; Paperback $38.00 https://www.amazon.ca/Lead-When-Where-Youre-Going/dp/1538127687/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr= If you have not REGISTERED already, SIGN UP here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SummerBookClubs Got questions?
