Covid Update

Covid Update

March 9th, 2022

In anticipation of the upcoming changes to Public Health protocols in both Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island in the coming weeks, Bishop Sandra and our Executive Director, Rev. Ann Turner, have consulted with Archdeacons and Regional Deans to discuss our Diocesan Guidelines and seek input. We will be providing recommendations and advice to parishes, sharing Best Practices, and offering questions for Parish leadership to consider when considering the loosening of restrictions. This document will be sent first to clergy and then to NetNews subscribers before being posted on the Diocesan website. Please refer any questions about Covid-19 guidelines to Rev. Ann Turner executivedirector@nspeidiocese.ca

CEWS News

CEWS News

Folks, thank you for continuing to record and send your parish’s monthly income for calculating wage subsidies.  Subsidies for organizations hard hit by the pandemic will continue at least through April 2022.  I expect the Diocese will continue to qualify, so please continue to send information to my attention at financialcontroller@nspeidiocese.ca.  For ease of processing revenue information, please use the attached form and return to me via email, and please title your email “CEWS.”  I drew-down subsidies from Canada Revenue this month.  Please expect to see them applied to January 2022 remittance advices in February 2022.

Thanks much for your help, Chris.

HEALTHY CHANGE THROUGH CONFLICT

HEALTHY CHANGE THROUGH CONFLICT

Despite popular belief conflict in a church can provide an engine for growth and more authentic relationships, both within the congregation and with the wider community. This requires leaders not to rush and try to fix or rescue those engaged in squabbles. Instead they gracefully lead through it to help people learn how to genuinely cooperate as loving community. Read David E. Woolverton's article, Leading through Conflict, published by the Lewis Centre for Church Leadership.
