SIX-MINUTE STUDY #250NONES, NOT THE NUNS Religious affiliation is shifting greatly in our society. One concerning demographic change is the rise of what we call the 'nones' - those who claim no connection to a faith community. In fact, this is the fastest growing “religious group” in Canada. They represent 24% of Canadian adults, 28% of Canadian millennials, and 32% of Canadian teens.

Diocese of the Windward Islands
I had the pleasure of Ministry in the Diocese of the Windward Islands in the first 6 months of 2010. I was assigned to a four point parish in Grenville, Grenada ( The Parish of St. Andrew’s). During my time I spent 3 days in St. Vincent for a clergy conference with Bishop Leopold Friday. Part of the time included a tour of the island. A number of my clergy friends in Grenada were actually from St. Vincent. The news of the volcanic eruption on April 8th, though no loss of life, still has rendered the top third of the island uninhabitable and of the 20,000 displaced people, some have sought refuge in neighbouring Dominica, St. Lucia and Grenada. On Monday, April 13th the PWRDF has made a $ 5,000 grant to facilitate Anglican initiatives on the ground. I am pledging $ 1,000 to the PWRDF to match up to $ 1,000 of donations by people in this Diocese by the end of May. If you are able to support the needs of the people displaced due to the volcanic eruption, please go to --- www.pwrdf.org/give-today. Click on Emergency Response and add “Volcano relief in St. Vincent” OR You may also call Donor Relations Officer Mike Ziemerick at 1-866-308-7973 and leave a voicemail OR Mail a cheque with the memo “Volcano relief in St. Vincent” to 80 Hayden St., Toronto, ON M4Y 3G2. ... the Rev. JK Morrell For more infomation visit: http://nspeidiocese.ca/events/diocese-of-the-windward-islands/2021-05-04
