The Rev'd Ann Turner, Executive Director
Good morning friends, As some of you will know, last Sunday morning our Executive Director, the Rev’d Ann Turner, fell and shattered her femur. She has had a rather extensive surgical repair and is now facing six weeks to six months of recovery time (including a lot of Physiotherapy). On behalf of the Diocese, I would like to express our heartfelt concern for Ann, and for her spouse, Trudy, and to assure them of our continuing prayers and support. Ann has asked that messages of support/encouragement or prayers be sent to her personal email address: dogma1@me.com. While she is on medical leave, she will not be checking or responding to email sent to her work email address. All other correspondence that would normally be sent to Ann in her role as Executive Director should be redirected as follows: 1. info.finance@nspeidiocese.ca for all finance related questions 2. bishopsoffice@nspeidiocese.ca for all questions of policy, governance, and Human Resources 3. pflemming@nspeidiocese.ca for all Insurance related questions. Ann will post an out of office response on her office email account redirecting your inquiry as noted above. Please respect her need to step away from her duties as she focuses her time and energy on her healing and wellbeing. Jana Gauthier, our Executive Administrator, will be directing inquiries to the appropriate person, to the best of her ability. We will be prioritizing requests in light of the staffing situation and will work hard to ensure you get a prompt reply to your questions or concerns. I ask for your patience and kindness in dealing with our staff. The volume of email we receive is immense. I would also like to remind you to reach out to your Regional Dean as a first point of contact for administrative matters and to your Archdeacon as a first point of contact for pastoral matters. This will help everyone to get the timely responses they expect. If you have questions about the impact of Ann’s leave on a particular area of ongoing ministry, please contact Jana for clarification. Again, I want to emphasize our concern for Ann as she begins the road to recovery. May she know the all-surpassing love of God in Christ and be held in God’s tender embrace. May she and Trudy be assured of our support through our prayers and those practical acts of love and care which remind us that we are not alone. Every blessing, +Sandra |
