In preparation for Synod this spring, we'd like to ask you to send in some photos of moments of Joy in your parish.  If you have some photos of moments of Joy to share, please send them to: youthandfamily@nspeidiocese.ca by May 1st.

CONGREGATIONS SEEKING RESILIENCE

Every church goes through struggles from time to time. Whether parish leaders face challenges from within or discover difficulties from an outside source, there is hope. Watch this short video about how congregations can build resilience and deepen authentic faith community. Paul Born, is from Tamarack Institute, an Ontario-based organization that works toward nurturing vibrant communities. 

The Canadian Companions of Jerusalem, in partnership with the Anglican Church of Canada and the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, is hosting a program of immersion and learning in the biblical lands in the Easter season of 2023, May 1-12. 

Acadia University student, Becky Coholan, of our Diocese and the Parish of French Village, is one of the young adult participants on this pilgrimage of discovery and learning. The Anglican Church Women Diocesan Board is very happy to be supporting Becky, financially and prayerfully, with her pilgrimage, and we ask for your prayers for her and all the pilgrims participating in this amazing opportunity.

PARISHES OF BLUE ROCKS

The Parish of Blue Rocks, Saint Barnabas Anglican Church is looking for a fulltime or part time Rector. We are a single church Parish located in the picturesque village of Blue Rocks on Nova Scotia’s South Shore. Regular church services are typically held at 11:00am on Sunday mornings with occasional evening services. We have a three bedroom Rectory located next door to the Church and a large Parish Hall, available to host community and church events.

The forum will be held in the church at 55 Wentworth Street in Dartmouth.
