FROM THE BISHOPREPORTING STATISTICS Reporting Statistics: each year we collect statistics related to various aspects of parish life, some are for diocesan use, some we are required to collect by the General Synod. The diocesan Executive Officers along with the General Secretary of General Synod have requested that parishes continue to collect information during this extraordinary time. This information will serve two purposes- it will be a record of how the Anglican Church of Canada responded to the Covid 19 Pandemic and it will meet our continued reporting obligation. Information for Parishes and Parishioners on Alternative forms of giving.
The Diocesan Controller has written an information piece on alternative form of giving that Parishes may wish to employ during this pandemic and into the future. Cancellation of Convocation and Gala DinnerAtlantic School of Theology I am writing to let you know that Senate has decided to cancel this year’s Convocation in keeping with current public safety directives and to ensure the safety of the AST community and beyond during the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, we are not alone in having to reach this conclusion. Many other universities in Nova Scotia and across Canada have had to make similar difficult decisions.
