COVID-19: Cleaning and Disinfecting Your Premises
The COVID-19 pandemic will forever change how facilities are cleaned and disinfected — a vital part of safeguarding premises and essential to the safe return to the workplace of staff and volunteers after distancing restrictions are lifted. No doubt, professional cleaning services will be overwhelmed by service requests, so many organizations may have no other choice than to perform their own cleaning. Ecclesiastical has published COVID-19: Cleaning and disinfecting your premises, a risk bulletin and best-practices guide on how to clean and disinfect facilities and how to protect those doing this important work. Ensuring that facilities are clean, sanitized and disinfected before reopening their doors to their employees and the general public will go a long way towards a healthy return to normal following this difficult period. FROM THE BISHOPREPORTING STATISTICS Reporting Statistics: each year we collect statistics related to various aspects of parish life, some are for diocesan use, some we are required to collect by the General Synod. The diocesan Executive Officers along with the General Secretary of General Synod have requested that parishes continue to collect information during this extraordinary time. This information will serve two purposes- it will be a record of how the Anglican Church of Canada responded to the Covid 19 Pandemic and it will meet our continued reporting obligation. Physically DistancedSpiritually connected through Creation - Tuesday, May 12, 2020 During this on line time, as we live with covid-19, we do not to forget that we are called to care for and protect all of God’s creation. How we do this is being transformed - as are our lives - by the global struggle to deal with covid-19. These gatherings have been inspired by the Center for Public Justice’s (CPJ) publication “Living for Ecological Justice”. They might be seen as a retreat, a time of reflection and prayer, an activity and a call to action. Together we will look at questions that we can ask ourselves, our family and friends about the physical place we are each in. We are being asked, and given an opportunity to stay still. It is up to each of us to decide whether we will use this moment to deepen our love for the earth and our commitment to stand on the side of creation now, and in the weeks, months and years to come. May 14, 7 pm, by Zoom, “A Fireside Chat with Archbishop Ron Cutler”. A conversation about: why should the church (religious institutions) be involved in the climate crisis, how we are involved and as creation activists, what we bring to the table. Caring for Creation from a personal and spiritual perspective. How we envision the new normal post virus.
