St. Alban's, Woodside

"St. Alban's is a small congregation where we work hard to grow together in our faith and to serve our neighbours. Our worship, prayer and study leads us out into the neighbourhood.  We are engaged in pastoral ministry through monthly services at Oakwood Terrace, a seniors care facility, and Mount Hope, part of the Nova Scotia Hospital. We also support local food banks, the hot-meal program at Margaret's House, and Missions to Seafarers. Our parish church is an oasis in a busy neighbourhood, where we offer a warm welcome and plenty of possibilities for ministry. Oh, and we have fun while we're at it!"

St. Andrew’s, Locks Rd.

St. Andrew's is in the process of establishing a new committee structure within it's parish. It is also in the process of looking to coordinate a visioning exercise in 2009. We are looking to establishing a better understanding of who we are as a community, and highlighting this by being more intentional about identifying our priorities and goals to be achieved on a short term and long term basis. Many of us are excited about the stewardship sessions coming up in the Dartmouth region in 2009 as we seek to be more conscience about our stewardship practices within the parish. We are a community with a great gift in Hospitality! Between the years of 2001 and 2006 we experienced a significant growth in our membership and regular attendance and this seemed to dwindle somewhat over the following 2 years, however we are excited to see once again a resurgence in growth, particularly within out Sunday School.

Church of Saint Andrew, Cole Harbour

We are a people on the move as we grow in our faith, in our commitment to God and to one another. We recognize that life involves change and growth, and that God calls us to journey together, to support and encourage, to uplift and to pray for one another. Through worship, the sacraments, prayer, Bible Study, our various groups, and educational events, we are nurtured so that we might love and serve God as revealed to us in Jesus the Christ. We are nurtured that we might serve God's people through our daily life and work. As we feed on the word of God and the bread of life which is the Lord Jesus himself, we are made strong to care for and serve each other, and to reach out beyond our church community to serve others in the local community and to those in need in Canada and in other parts of the world.

Specifically, we are involved in many outreach activities including supporting  Feed Others of Dartmouth, Primates World Relief and Development Fund, a Foster Child, The Church of the North and several other ministries throught the year.  We are excited about the new learning opportunites in Via Media, Companions on a Journey, Education For Ministry, and various Alpha programs.  We pray, actively engage in ministry, work, and play together.  We praise God for the many blessings in this world and we seek to journey together.
