Region 1 Prince Edward Island
Lobster suppers, homemade ice-cream, strawberry socials, cow grazing pastures, fishing nets and traps, and fields of golden grain are the just some of the attraction of our Island. Islanders are down to earth, hard working, honest, self-sufficient people who walk hand in hand with the God of creation. This is just a snapshot of the people in our Region.
We are challenged by finding ways to share our deep-rooted connectedness with God to others who appear to be too busy to ‘rest’ and worship on Sundays. We are challenged by the ever-changing demands and needs of a society that does not feel the connectedness to ‘church’.
We are excited that in October of 2009 we have a wonderful weekend planned to celebrate young and old in our region with the Rev’d Canon W. Cliff as our facilitator. It will be filled with music, laughter, and various workshops, stories. We hope to celebrate our Island history at this event.
As Islanders – we are a people that are deeply connected to our church, to our faith, our families, our land and our heritage. Come to the Island where people celebrate with great pride where they come from and anticipate with excitement the challenges of the journey ahead.Respectfully submitted by;
