Leap For Faith Endowment Fund

Sharing our Faith with the Future

Your immediate gift supporting the campaign initiatives is appreciated. Commitment to the ministry of our church and a vision of an ongoing witness to God’s love has led you to respond. Through your gift you share your faith with others.

But what about the future?

Funds raised through the campaign are being used for ministry needs now. While we can’t predict the future we know resources for ministry will always be needed. That’s why the Leap For Faith Endowment Fund was created by Diocesan Council in 2004. As the fund balance grows an increasing amount of annual investment return will be available to help sustain the campaign ministry initiatives in the future.

Our church today is the beneficiary of the generous gifts of faith from those who have gone before us. As previous generations have supported our ministry today through their gifts of faith, so too can we support the work of the church tomorrow.

You can make a difference in the future by giving prayerful consideration to arranging a bequest in your will to the Leap For Faith Endowment Fund. Bequests and other future gifts to this permanent fund are invested in the professionally managed Diocesan Consolidated Trust Fund, producing a dependable investment return each year supporting the campaign ministry initiatives in perpetuity.

A Spiritual Act

We are called to be faithful stewards of the gifts we have received. We know this includes our time, talents and treasure. We also understand that the effective management of our assets is a spiritual act and a theologically sound approach to our stewardship. The drawing of a will and the preparation of an estate plan supporting our families also are acts of Christian stewardship.

Let Us Help You and Thank You!

The Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island is able and eager to assist you. We can send you a helpful booklet on how to make a Will and sample bequest language. At your request, the Diocesan Gift Planning Consultant will be happy to meet with you and, if you wish, with your legal and financial advisors to discuss your goals and refine the wording of your bequest. Just use the reply coupon or call the Diocesan Gift Planning Consultant, Mr. Charles O’Neil at 902-477-0105.

When you have completed your will (or added a provision for the Church to your present will), we hope you'll let us know so we can express our thanks! With your permission, we'll list your name among the growing number of those who have provided for future gifts to the Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island and our parishes, where it will encourage still others to take that important step.
