SafeR Church Training Podcasts: Planned for January and February 2017

A series of training podcasts, designed to help parishes meet the training/education/information obligations in relation to people in positions of trust with vulnerable individuals, was originally expected to be available last winter/spring. The first podcast was recorded, and it, and related resource material, are available through the SafeR Church webpage on the Diocese’s website.

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, it was not possible to record the other podcasts as anticipated. But we are going to try again. The plan is to record four additional podcasts and make them (and accompanying resource materials) available to parishes in late January and early February of 2017. Parishes may use the podcasts and materials as training/education/information resources.

An announcement will be posted in the NetNews and on the SafeR Church page when each podcast has been posted. The podcasts planned are focussed on the following themes:

- Working with Youth

- Working with Children

- Working with Vulnerable Adults

- Working with Tangible Parish Assets – e.g., Property, Money

For more information, and/or if you have a question or issue that you want to be sure is included in the podcasts, please email [email protected].
