The Church of the Nativity, Sandy Cove invites priests to celebrate the Eucharist at 11:00 AM each Sunday during the summer months. In return, we offer the use of the Sandy Cove Rectory rent free for the time you are here. We ask that you come for at least two consecutive weeks. The congregation consists of a few permanent residents and many summer folk from across North America. Some are Anglican, some are Roman Catholic and some are of other faiths. We average from 20 to 30 each Sunday morning. Sandy Cove is located on beautiful Digby Neck, about 35 km south west of the town of Digby. During the week there is plenty to do for families with or without children. There is whale watching, hiking, exploring The Neck, a beautiful beach, swimming (for the very hardy folks!). Annapolis Royal, Port Royal, the French Shore and many other historic sites are close by. The Digby Pines Golf Resort and Spa is close by. Some members of the congregation play there regularly. The Church of the Nativity is part of the Parish of Digby Weymouth, Rev Laura McCue, Rector. The number of churches in the parish and geography make it difficult for the Rector to get to Sandy Cove on a regular basis. Hence the call for visitors for the months of June, July, August and September. Bishop Ron approves of this plan. As of March 30, 2017 the only Sundays available are September 3rd and 10th We would like to fill these as soon as possible. Interested priests wishing more information are asked to contact: John or Mary Scott 902-834-2681, or [email protected]
