Children’s Choir Camp – Christ Church, Dartmouth, August 14-18, ages 8-12
Does your child love to sing? This Children’s Choir Camp is a unique week-long day camp for young singers, ages 8-12, who want to learn and perform a wide range of styles of choral music from the ancient to the contemporary.
The camp staff are young professional singers and musicians with expertise in music, theatre, and education which provides for a different and unique learning environment. The camp is jam-packed with music, rehearsals, workshops with the singers, crafts, games and to top off the week – a concert!
The final concert, which will feature the children along with the professional singers and musicians, will be held on the evening of Friday, August 18, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. This is an amazing experience for the kids and you won’t want to miss it!
The camp will be led by Music Director, Nick Veltmeyer. Nick is the Music Director at Christ Church, Dartmouth, and sub-organist at the University of King’s College. He also sings in the Kings College Chapel Choir and is the recipient of a Nova Scotia Talent Trust Award.
The camp runs from August 14-18 at Christ Church Hall, Dartmouth (hours are 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. with early drop-off/late pick-up). Registration cost is $125.00/child ($100/child for siblings). There is still room available! Open to all denominations.
