Worship & Concerts


Wednesday, March 9th at 5pm in the Cathedral of All Saints: Choral Evensong with the King's Chapel Choir. The service will feature music of J.S. Bach, T. Tallis, R. Ayleward, W. Byrd, and H. Howells. There will be a reflection on Shel Silverstein's The Giving Tree by choir manager Vanessa Halley. 

Thursday,  March 10th at 5pm in the King's College Chapel, 6350 Coburg Rd. The University Service: A Service of Choral Solemn Eucharist featuring music by W. Byrd, I Raminsh, and O. Messiaen. The sermon will be given by Dr. David Deane, Associate Professor at the Atlantic School of Theology.


On April 15th, from 7pm – 9pm, the Church of Saint Andrew, 2 Circassion Drive (corner of Forrest Hills Parkway), Cole Harbour presents Rachael MacLean In Concert.

 

Rachel has been penning songs for the last 25 years. She takes her inspiration from life, her beautiful Maritime home and her own spiritual journey. Rachel delivers soothing and uplifting music and radiates a unique warmth that comes from her love of life.

 

She has toured throughout the Maritimes and internationally and been featured on CBC television and radio, CTV, Global TV and Eastlink Television.

AST Final Year Student Colin Nicolle presents his grad project on RURAL (RE) VITALITY at AST on March.   Congratulating him are the ministry team from St. Marks-Halifax - Rev. John Morrell, Colin Nicolle, Rev. Vivien Hannon, Rev. Canon Jim Purchase.  Colin will be ordained to the Diaconate on Friday, June 24th at the Cathedral Church of All Saints.


Former Rector of St. Marks Halifax - The Rev. Canon John Smith - will preach at a 150th Anniversary Service on Sunday, March 13th.  
 
On Sunday April 10th, the Rev. David Dellapinna will preach at St. Mark's.
