Director of Advancement
Atlantic School of Theology is seeking a Director of Advancement with a demonstrated track record in fundraising, and an understanding of both the academic context and church constituencies that AST serves. The successful candidate will report to the President and be a part of the School’s leadership team. The Director will help transform the fundraising activities of the School to enable AST to fulfill its mission of excellence in ecumenical theological education in response to its strategic priorities. The primary responsibilities of the director will therefore be in the area of fundraising, including promotion and oversight of a planned giving program, working with the President on major donor identification and cultivation, and oversight of the Manager of Communications’ work particularly with regard to the annual fund.
The successful candidate will begin work as soon as possible after February 1, 2013. Review of applications and nominations will begin on January 3, 2013 and will continue until the position is filled. Salary negotiable.
