Want MORE for your church?

God wants MORE for you too.

ATTENTION: Lay and Clergy

Want MORE for your church and parish?

God wants MORE for you too.

Diocese of NS & PEI

Mission School

MORE brings together “It’s about the World” and feedback from delegates to Synod 2015, offering an exciting opportunity for us to be MORE, and MORE the people and Church that God wants for us to be – mission-focused and moving strongly in every community of our Diocese.

Explore what “mission” is, what it looks like, and how congregations might shift to be more “missional.” The workshop is engaging for lay and clergy participants, with lots of time for discussion, asking questions and interaction.

MORE is based on God’s desire to give the world MORE of what it really needs – hope, love, and freedom.  MORE is not a program, but a way of seeing ourselves and our church transformed so we can grow!  God’s plan is that the church should and can grow.

MORE – Mission School, module #1 is the first in a series of day-long workshops that we are hosting regionally all over the Diocese in the next couple of years. It is a response to the requests that came from the table discussions at our Diocesan Synod gathering in May of 2015. Many clergy and lay leaders requested help to understand just what “mission” is, what it looks like and how congregations might shift to be more “missional.” Bishop Ron and the Innovation Group team facilitate each session. The workshop is engaging for participants, with lots of small group discussion, a case study and MORE!    We encourage each parish to bring a TEAM!

This first session of “MORE” is an introduction and other modules will feature resistance/blocks to mission, parish discernment, Fresh Expressions of church, sharing & witnessing and missional community.

So far the MORE – Mission School is getting rave reviews!   You and your parish team don’t want to miss this. Please PROMOTE this exciting event at all your meetings and parish gatherings, publish it in your bulletins and be sure to ANNOUNCE it on SUNDAYS.
