Teens Encounter Christ is a live and growing aspect of youth ministry within our diocese. Over 250 young people have attended TEC weekends in the Diocese over the last nine years. The TEC Movement gathers its energy from annual three-day retreat weekends. Weekends are staffed with a trained team of people who give of their time and talents to volunteer for this special youth ministry. TEC weekends are Christ-centered and are grounded in Anglican tradition and doctrine. A lively band, superb food, inspiring talks and foolish fun serve as avenues to bring the message of God’s unconditional love to young adults. Teens attending the weekend are encouraged to examine their relationship with Christ, to be renewed by the "new life" Christ offers to all through His death on the cross, and to return to their communities living life as "Children of the Light."
