The Companion Diocese Program allows Canadian Anglican dioceses to establish a partnership relationship with an Anglican diocese in some other part of the world. It promotes mutual understanding and support, direct engagement in mission, and an enlargement of our vision of the worldwide Anglican Communion. It is not intended to be a program of financial support, but rather one of mutual sharing and understanding. Most of the thirty Canadian Anglican dioceses have a Companion Diocese in another part of the world.
