2011 Diocesan Operating Budget

The 2011 Budget (line by line) is now available on the Website. Canon Redden’s budget piece in the November Diocesan Times “Notice from the Diocesan Executive Director” (pg. 3), outlines initiatives acted upon, to achieve a balanced 2011 position. Subsequent to approval of an Allotment rate of 19.25% at Diocesan Council, further Parochial Returns were received /assessable income adjusted/ to allow us to reach the required Allotment figure, using a rate of 19.17%.

Serious attempts at further rate decline can only take place if we are able to maintain a favourable compliance of Parish Allotment payments. The Finance Office would be happy to attempt to answer any questions you may have relative to this document.

Sincerest appreciation to Chair, Andy Carras and the Budget Sub-committee for their effort and guidance.

Peter Flemming

Controller

PAROCHIAL RETURN (Deadline: March 31, 2012 -- @ Canon 16)

This document is provided for your convenience.  It is an Excel workbook where you can enter individual line entries from your financial statements, which will calculate a total for you to enter on your Parochial Return Form.  There are three tabs (worksheets) - one for Income, one for Exemptions -- both by account number, with a column for cross-referencing to your Financial Statements-- and a Summary sheet which automatically draws the totals from the other two pages.  You are welcome to submit this worksheet electronically (by email to Peter Flemming, Controller ).  This "Worksheet" does not replace the Parochial Return Form and accompanying cross-referenced Financial Statements.
