Bishop Arnold

The Rt. Rev. George Feversham Arnold, M.A, B.D., D.D.

Consecrated September 21,1967. Installed Bishop Suffragan of Nova Scotia, September 21, 1967. Elected Bishop Co-Adjutor, May 29, 1975. Bishop of Nova Scotia, September 1, 1975. Retired, January 1, 1980

Born in Mulgrave, Bishop Arnold was a son of the late Archdeacon A.F. Arnold and Elsie (Dauphinee) Arnold and a grandson of the late Rev. J.W. Arnold.

He received his schooling in Sydney and earned a master of arts degree in classics from King's after graduating from its divinity school.

He was ordained a deacon on December 19, 1937. He served in the parishes of Louisbourg, Mahone Bay, Fairview and Windsor before being appointed clerical secretary of the diocese in 1958.

Bishop Arnold died  January 31, 1998
